Item Description
4.75” X 7” pair of stiff cards once joined, but now split along the spine. Covers are printed in gold on off white. Bottom front has black check mark, maybe from the event. Front is titled “Young Men’s Democratic Club of Massachusetts Annual Dinner Dec. 19, 1892." Center is cartoon of upcoming March 4, 1893 event with “Grover” driving “Washington Express” wagon towards his inaugural destiny while Harrison, as a workman stands at an ice wagon using ice tongs. Interior illustrations accent menu items and include McKinley as meat on a fire spit, “Citizen” Hobart taking a bow, and heavy set man waving “Four Years of Grover” pennant. Back cover lists “Dinner Committee” “Speakers” the third listed as “Hon. John F. Fitzgerald of Boston.” Governor Russell was the headliner. Very limited issue and a rare JFK association item.
