Item Description
1 5/8” tall with brass shell eagle pin at top and hanger below which matches previous Garfield jugate. Very nice bright luster on the brass surfaces and the cardboard images are totally clean although the English image has an extremely fine 1/8” surface hairline on the far right edge, but not even visible unless viewed with magnification. Listed as Sullivan WSH 1880-14 although this piece has a different portrait of English. Among the rarest of all the 19th century jugate’s and this is an extremely fine example.
