8.5x10-7/8" full color four-page slick salesman's folder promotes sale of boxes "Flavor-Kist Honey Grahams" crackers w/boxes containing one of twelve available patches. Center of folder is double page showing several full size patches while back cover shows example of store merchandising including floor stand, window poster, newspaper ads, shelf marker. Set of 12 cloth patches are full color diecut 2.75x3" w/color art image on front and peel-off backing sheets. Crocket images include sharpshooter, fighting at Alamo, shooting buffalo, killing a bear w/knife, fighting an Indian, Creek Indian War w/Davy firing rifle from behind tree, second version of fight at Alamo, shooting a crocodile, throwing an Indian, killing a panther, shooting a rattlesnake. Folder has a few minor handling creases at right side of front cover, patches have minor tanning due to gummed backs but still Exc. 1950s. Diecut 17x20.75" rigid cardboard picturing full color and actual size examples of eight of the total twelve patches offered individually as box insert premiums in Flavor-Kist Honey Grahams. Pictured patches each have title caption at bottom margin. Each caption is prefaced by "Davy Crockett" name followed by Shooting Buffalo, Creek Indian War, Kills a Bear, Throws An Indian, Fights An Indian, Fights At The Alamo, Kills A Panther, Sharpshooter.” Bottom 4" of sign is slotted twice vertically for insertion into carton holding individual cracker boxes. 5.5x10.5 cardboard store countertop sign with multiple images of patches unfolded and Exc. Three 8.5x11” dealer letters with Crockett image on letterhead Exc. A great extensive lot. This item is a file copy from the Gold archives and is accompanied by a letter to that effect signed by Gordon Gold.
