Very well made 2-7/8" tall with black and white enamel accents and lettering on mint luster brass. Top hanger is combination of hose nozzles, ribbon design and fire helmet with eagle's head above the shield. Suspended shield below has raised enamel and silvered brass image of early 19th century hand pumper. Additional text reads "Organized 1881." The badge itself is probably c. 1920s or earlier.
