Red stripes have lost all color and stripes originally white are now tan, but black lettering remains clear and bold reading "For President, James Buchanan. For Vice President, John C. Breckinridge." Threads of History shows two flags in this format but this is a third variety as on this "For President" is in upper and lower case while those in the book have these words all in upper case. Displays nicely and, although incomplete, still a rarity.
