Item Description
This and items through #1029 are each a 13/16" litho from a 1930s set of 25 issued in a wrapper inscribed "Button Gum." Some folks say these were also Cracker Jack insert buttons although we have not been able to personally document that. These are mostly fleshtone blue and white on a cream-colored bkg. The inks used in this series proved to be almost a magnet for dirt which is hard to remove without removing the water soluable ink as well. This and the following are all extremely clean examples much nicer than usually seen with any specific small defects noted. This one depicts "'Dizzy' Dean." Couple of near pinpoint rubs but largely defect free to the naked eye. Very clean with high gloss.
