Item Description
Lot of two, 1930s. The hat is an 8x13" thin cardboard sheet with punch-out piece that assembles into a hat with large die-cut Mickey head and additional character illustrations on band of Minnie, Pluto, Three Pigs and Wolf. Sheet had loose perforations so reverse now has numerous small strips of tape added to keep pieces in place. Remains unused, front appearance is NM. Second item is cookie box which has been disassembled and flattened to size of 12.5x13.5". Great design and graphics featuring Mickey and Minnie, Pluto, Horace, Clarabelle, Goofy, Donald, Red Riding Hood, Three Pigs and Wolf. Original string handle attached. One margin has an ad for the premium hat, bottom panel has imprint of "Colonial Biscuit Company." While appearance for display remains quite nice, upon close inspection two small tabs and several small die-cut end pieces have been expertly replaced, some small color touch-ups but none of this is evident unless viewed very closely. While box could be re-assembled for display, as is it makes a great piece for framing. This cookie box is rare.
