Item Description
9.5" tall by Character Novelty Company of South Norwalk, CT c. 1943. Tag attached to velveteen-like body has text "Widget A Walt Disney Gremlin Character Copyright Walt Disney Productions." Pressed cloth face has painted facial details and satin-like bow on top of head and at neck. Disney planned to make a movie about the gremlins but it was never done and aside from a hardcover book this is only the second piece of merchandise we've ever seen (the other was a glow-in-the-dark picture). Face is lightly aged but doll retains a NM appearance.
