Item Description
Large 1916 photo with embossed logo of photographer Edminston, Washington, DC on lower margin. Image area is 6.5x8.5" printed on larger sheet with margins in 3 different shades of cream to overall size of 10.5x13.5" in original black wood frame 12x15". Couple tiny rubs on the wood and reverse backing paper is brittle with splits. Photo is essentially Mint. 2.5" long "Woodrow Wilson" signature at lower right. On left his private secretary signed "To My Friend, Roy Vernon. With The Sincere Regard Of His Friend Joseph P. Tumulty Washington DC January 1st 1916." A wonderful photo, perhaps in the White House, with Wilson's image strongly reflecting off the apparently glass-covered table at which he sits with pen in hand resting on a large sheet of paper. From the collection of Leroy T. Vernon, a campaign manager for Taft and later Washington D.C. reporter for the Chicago Daily News. Comes with Hake's COA.
