Great image of Dawes with pipe apparently posed on steps of US Capitol. Photo is 7x10" by "Harris & Ewing" mounted on matte signed "For My Friend Leroy T. Vernon From Charles G. Dawes May 26th 1922." Mint under glass in original frame 12x15". Edge splits on backing paper. From the collection of Leroy T. Vernon, a campaign manager for Taft and later Washington D.C. reporter for the Chicago Daily News. Comes with Hake's COA.
