Item Description
All of these buttons carry a 1973 date and a curl copyright by "Buttons Of History." Four of the buttons without photos have text relating to Watergate and the impeachment of Richard Nixon. The ten buttons with photos all read at the top "Patriot Of The Year 1973" while the bottom reads "The Dawn Of The Bicentennial Era." Buttons include security guard Frank Wills who discovered the tape on the Watergate door. Woodward and Bernstein credited as "Washington Post Pulizer Prize Reporter" and eight others consisting of Archibald Cox, Elliott Richardson, Goldwater with a Watergate quote, Daniel Ellsberg, George McGovern, Martha Mitchell, James McCord and Judge Sirica. This is the last of two groups of these buttons from the Marshall Levin collection. NM.
