Item Description
2.25" litho. Attached to the button on left by metal tabs is a brown/white lithographed tin donkey whose body can be pulled up and down by moving a small black thread attached through the nose. This movement provides the effect of the donkey kicking the elephant in the rear end. Some of these were discovered years ago w/smoke damaged suffered in a warehouse fire. This example is not from that group and is totally bright and clean with only the most trivial paint wear on the front and the reverse rolled edge has 1" section with paint darkened (but not showing from front). About as nice an example of this popular mechanical as can be found.
