Item Description
10x12" spiral-bound book with 10.5x12.5" slipcase. ©1937 Will Connell/Saturday Evening Post. This book first appeared as a story in the Saturday Evening Post. Book contains scores of photographs with humorous text touching on various aspects of film making. Some sections include: Film, Sound, Politics, Art, Yes-Men, Movie Mama, Sex Appeal, Chest-Wig, Music, Cartoon, Comedy,Horse Opera and Censorship, among others. For the "Cartoon" sections, images of Mickey Mouse are used. Humorous text with equally humorous photos. Book has edge wear with small surface paper tears at spiral binding. Fine with Exc. contents. Slipcase has repeated image of orchestra and title of book. Orchestra image label has 1.75x1" area of surface paper lift with tape repair in upper right-hand corner. Obvious wear with several splits and chips missing. VG. Rare.
