Item Description
3x4.75x7.5" box holds same size painted plaster bank. Box has repeat illustration of bank on each side with image of savings bond stamp. ©1942. One end flap separated from box with split, but complete. Box inner flap has 1" separation. Evenly tanned with age. Overall holds original shape and displays Fine. Bank has decal on top reading "Tank Bank/Save For Victory/Buy War Bonds Regularly." Bottom of bank has repeated text reading "Tank Bank Copyrighted/This Bank Holds $18.75 In Quarters, Dimes, Nickels and Pennies. When Full, Open And Go To Nearest Bank Or Post Office And Buy A War Bond To Aid Our Country's War Effort...V/F&H New York." Center of bottom reads "To Remove Coins. Cut On The Dotted Lines. For Reuse, Paste New Board Over Opening." Bank choice, unused, NM condition.
