1.25" shows enraged apple peddler beating his fallen horse with Angel of Mercy floating above holding sword in one hand and raising other hand to stop the brutality. Of the three examples we've seen, this is first with rim text "Courier-Journal Humane Club." Reverse has W&H backpaper used 1900-1912. Among the first buttons to promote this cause and by far the most colorful and graphic. Rare & NM.
