3.5”x6.5” envelope postmarked October 6, 1977 from Hollywood, CA, this first day cover is for the “50th Anniversary of Talking Pictures 1927-1977.” Envelope features image of Al Jolson in “The Jazz Singer,” which was the first talking picture. Envelope has two stamps relating to the anniversary of films, as well as a stamp for DW Griffith and Walt Disney. Envelope is signed in black or blue ink by the stars of the 1946 Holiday classic “It’s A Wonderful Life,” including James Stewart, Donna Reid, and Director Frank Capra.
