Item Description
3.5”x6.5” envelope postmarked October 6, 1977 from Hollywood, CA, this first day cover is for the “50th Anniversary of Talking Pictures 1927-1977.” Envelope features image of Al Jolson in “The Jazz Singer,” which was the first talking picture. Envelope has two stamps relating to the anniversary of films, as well as a stamp for DW Griffith and Walt Disney. Envelope is signed in black or blue ink by the stars of the 1946 Holiday classic “It’s A Wonderful Life,” including James Stewart, Donna Reid, and Director Frank Capra. Envelope is sealed with unknown content. Very light line of aging at top of envelope. Exc. Comes with Hake COA.
