5x8x1" textured paper-covered cardboard case with snap closure. Cover has embossed Superman name and image and is outlined/highlighted in silver. c. 1940s. Deep and rich maroon color. Remains bright and strong with only the lightest traces of wear to corners. Exc./NM. Rarely found this nice.
