Item Description
Lot of 5 pieces. c. 1939-40. 8x11" certificate has copyright by Detective Comics, Inc. but not dated (there is a version w/1939©). Folded once as issued with light handling. Exc. Also included is welcoming letter which has been folded twice as issued and has light aging. NM. "Superman's Secret Code" book. Card stock folder is unused and has slight wear to envelope flap. Exc. Comes with original "Supermen Of America" envelope which has usual and typical wear from mailing. VF. First version "Superman" .75" litho pinback also included in this kit. Reverse of button reads "Read Superman Action Comics Magazine." The "Action Comics Magazine" portion of text has some light wear but remains completely legible. Button has some pinpoint wear. Fine. Kit was mailed to child in Canada, first example we've seen mailed outside of the US.
