7-5/8x9-7/8" sheet of C.K. Berryman's personal stationery at "The Evening Star-Washington, D.C." Almost full page India ink illustration of teddy bear holding invitation for Wade Hampton Ellis to speak at a meeting of the Board of Governors of the Society Of Colonial Wars on December 3, 1940. Piece is also dated October 25, 1940. Very detailed image of Ellis sitting amidst books with personalized "Cliff" signature at bottom right hand corner. Beautifully done. This letter has been mounted on stiff cardboard. Letter folded horizontally twice as it was mailed. Faint diagonal crease running from upper right hand corner. These creases are extremely faint and only noticeable in reflected light. Exc. appearance.
