Item Description
20.25x27.25" poster promotes the "Old King Cole And Mother Goose - A Spectacular Fantasy" added attraction that dates to c. 1941. Poster features stunning array of seven clowns in wonderful 1700s period costumes by noted theatrical/industrial designer Norman Bel Geddes (as noted by "Produced By John Ringling North - Created And Costumed By Norman Bel Geddes - Staged By Albertina Rasch" text at bottom). Of note, clown king sits on throne w/young clown courtesan at his side as they and other clowns watch Mother Goose clown flying overhead on large goose. This poster was also produced in a slightly larger size. Three horizontal crease as originally folded. Minor edge wear w/small strip of tape at each corner as once mounted. Fine. Great clown poster.
