Item Description
Large 9.75" tall tin litho w/11.25" dia. opening. Produced by Geuder, Paeschke & Fry Co. of Milwaukee, WI. 1936. They produced two different waste baskets as well as the classic Mickey Mouse lunch kit. This version features Mickey and Minnie Mouse, their Nephew, Pluto, Horace Horsecollar and Clarabelle Cow on boat. Donald Duck can be seen floating on "S.S. Sunk" life preserver ring. The other waste basket this company produced featured these same characters atop a mountain. See page 96 of Disneyana by Munsey for this company's items. Top rim shows some scattered wear and sides have some lt. scattered wear including a few small streaks of bare metal showing by Nephew's head. Interior remains free of oxidation w/all goldtone present. Exterior remains bright and glossy. VF overall. Rarely found this nice. Doug & Pat Wengel Collection.
