Item Description
7.25x8.25" cardboard "frame" designed like TV set holds 15 numbered 5 7/8x6.75" paper sheets with illustrations and Japanese characters at bottom. First sheet shows image of Superman and his rocket escaping from exploding Krypton. Others show Clark Kent with Superman image behind him, Lois Lane, a locomotive scene; 11 tell the story of "The Arctic Giant," a Fleischer Superman cartoon released in 1942 with realistic artwork. Superman appears on 5 of the 15 cards. Reverse of cards have a fairy tale type story. c. 1950s. When placed in easel "TV" frame, sheets and text give appearance of being on TV. Frame has edge wear and dust soiling as well as one lt. corner crease. VF. Insert cards have lt. wear/aging if any. Exc. overall.
