Item Description
Hake #139 from 1900. 2-1/8" beautiful design of lunch pail with brick factory building and five smoke stacks belching fire and black smoke to symbolize prosperity achieved during McKinley's first term. Captions on the workingman's lunch pail are: "Do You Smoke?/Yes-Since 1896!" with additional text on lower rim "That's What McKinley Promised." Beautiful unfaded color and almost no surface wear. High gloss. Perfect centering but missing the W&H back paper. Our similar example without back paper in auction 214 exceeded $1,500.
