Item Description
5.5" tall glazed ceramic. 1950s w/Goebel markings under base including full bee and incised "Dis 69" marking. Complete w/foil Goebel sticker on front of dress, though most color has rubbed off. This rare nodder has separate head piece complete w/metal counterweight, which causes figurine's head to nod as intended. Exc. Goebel only made four Disney nodders and all were from Alice in Wonderland. These included the King of Hearts, Walrus as well as Tweedledee and Tweedledum. All are rare and among the nicest and most sought after Goebels.
