Item Description
From the same 1938 animated short as previous item #1781. This is from same sequence that involved Hugh Herbert as the King who has the Marx Bros. play music for him. Ned Sparks was Herbert's jester. Pair of 10x12" sheets of animation paper; first has penciled number "18" at bottom right w/image area measuring 5.75x7" and showing Sparks from the elbows up, a cigar in his mouth and cane in hand. Almost exact image as in Courvoisier cel setup, item #1781. Some production notations at right. Second sheet has "23" in pencil at lower right w/image area measuring 4.75x5" and depicts just Sparks' head. Red pencil production notation below art. Sheets have lt. handling and aging but remain clean and art is Exc.
