Item Description
2.5x4.5x1" nicely illustrated cardboard box contains watch w/1.25" dia. chromed metal case. This is version w/four metal link band w/clasp (watch was also issued w/leather band) and two decorative accents pieces connected to watch case, featuring image of Big Bad Wolf and Three Pigs. These accent pieces retain all black paint accents which are typically missing. Ingersoll, 1934. Box features same illustration on lid/inside lid of Practical Pig building brick house w/inset image of Big Bad Wolf. Rest features brick design. This same box was used for the Three Little Pigs pocket watch w/designation on lid "Pocket $1.50" whereas this has small store sticker w/"Wrist" designation text as originally sold. Price has been obscured by surface paper loss. Inside of lid also has added price sticker, but this is mostly missing w/just remnants remaining. Complete w/die-cut brick insert that holds watch. Insert is VF/Exc. w/just lt. wear. Box has more moderate wear w/edge/corner tip wear, but hinged lid is intact. Fine overall. Dial features profile portrait of Wolf at center w/full body images of the Three Pigs above him. Watch retains near full luster and dial has deep, rich color. Not running but still displays Exc. One of the rarest and most sought after Disney timepieces, very rare as boxed.
