Item Description
1930s and these figures came in a number of different varieties/versions. 4x7-1/8x1-5/8" cardboard box w/bw illustrated lid contains set of three 3.5" tall painted wood figures. Box is marked "George Borgfeldt Corporation" and all sides of lid feature great illustrations. Figures are all complete w/ears, tails and chest decals. Two (Fiddler and Fifer Pig) also have cardboard disc collars and both are missing hats while Practical Pig is depicted in his traditional bib overalls. Few tiny decal nicks and scattered lt. aging. VF and scarce as a set in this condition. This is first we've seen in in our 49 years of this illustrated box and set is rare as boxed.
