5x7.5x1.5" deep hinged wood presentation case contains 3-3/8" dia. solid medallion that contains 12 troy ounces of .999 pure silver that weighs one lb. Issued in 1988 in recognition of Superman's 50th Anniversary, ©1988 DC Comics. One side features classic image of Clark Kent changing into Superman suit and flying away w/"50 Years Of 'Truth, Justice And The American Way' This IS A Job For...Superman" text. Reverse features large "50th Birthday Of Superman - Feb. 29, 1988" text w/silver weight. Edges have names of Superman's creators Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster. Comes w/COA. Limited edition of 2,500 pieces. Stamped "90" edition number on rim. Front of medallion has some nice patina at edges. Back retains full bright luster. VF/Exc.
