Item Description
Lot of three encapsulated 1.5" dia. medallions, front of each featuring same full body image of Superman flying upwards w/Metropolis and "Daily Planet" building in bkg. Backs have Superman's "S" symbol w/text including "The Last Son Of Krypton" and individually imprinted edition numbers. Issued as limited editions by The Highland Mint in 1999. Three different medallions were issued - gold-plated silver, silver and bronze. Offered here is one of each, w/issued velvet snap cases and generic cardboard sleeves. 24K gold-plated medallion has one troy oz. .999 fine silver core and was one of 500 issued randomly. This is low issue number "005" and comes w/gold congratulatory slip and matching number COA. Silver medallion is also one troy oz. .999 fine silver and is "0822" of 5,000 issued. Solid bronze medallion is number "0618" of 25,000 issued. All are Mint as issued. Franco Toscanini Collection.
