Item Description
Listed as DeWitt/Sullivan 1884-36 but not pictured. A 1-9/16" long stickpin joins a convex tin reverse which has an embossed brass front featuring a laurel wreath below a large circular opening holding a real cardboard photo. Circle around the photo is pearled. Photo has a couple of very light rub lines horizontally across his mouth and cheek but nothing that even really breaks the paper surface and essentially invisible unless caught in a certain light angle. A very impressive piece which displays essentially Mint. The only example we can recall seeing in five decades. Rare.
