Item Description
10-7/8x13.5" page from the June 21, 1986 issue of "Billboard" magazine featuring the "Top Pop Albums" chart, which has Whitney Houston's self-titled debut album in the number one spot. Houston (1963-2012) has boldly signed in blue felt tip pen at this area. Released Feb. 14, 1985 on Arista Records, the album initially had a slow commercial response, but became more popular in the summer of 1985. Eventually it topped the Billboard 200 chart for 14 weeks in 1986 and generated three number-one singles - "Saving All My Love for You, How Will I Know" and "Greatest Love of All" - on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, making it the first debut album and the first album by a female artist to achieve that feat. Right side margin is uneven as removed from magazine w/some small tears/chips along margins (and could be easily matted/framed for display) and sheet has moderate even aging. Fine/VF overall, but Houston's signature remains bold, distinct and Exc. Comes with Hake's COA and Roger Epperson/REAL LOA.
