Item Description
4.5x4.75x3.5" deep painted tin carryall w/tin litho lid w/latch and original thin fabric strap. 1930s. No Disney markings but image depicting two larger images of Mickey Mouse (one showing him smoking cigar) while other shows him dancing. Lid also has smaller images of Mickey playing horn and Minnie Mouse pushing baby carriage w/two smaller Mickey images following her. An additional Mickey image appears upside down from other images. These images are very similar to images seen on English postcards of the period. Scattered edge/rim wear w/loss to gold luster of lid latch. Lid has minor bend by horn-playing Mickey image. Lid has streaks of bare metal showing at top/bottom. Fine overall. Rare and only the second example we've seen of this type item w/images such as these in our 49 years.
