Item Description
27.25x37" double-matted display contains 22.5x32.75" paper store sign that has been professionally linen-mounted. c. 1941. © Superman, Inc. Poster features nice image of Superman from the mid-thighs up, and he holds a shield-shaped sign that below large "Superman Bread" name that reads "Now On Sale." Text block at bottom reads "Boys And Girls - Join The Superman Junior Defense League Of America" (see bread badge #2152). Sign was originally folded and has very minor color touch-ups along folds as linen-mounted and a few scattered small lt. age spots to white bkg. area of sign. Fine overall but still very nice for display. One of the rarest and most sought after Superman advertising pieces, w/just three known examples. Franco Toscanini Collection.
