Item Description
Vintage 8-1/8x10" matte finish photo shows Grable in short dress, her famed legs in fishnet stockings. Photo has been boldly signed "To H.A.S. - Best Wishes - Betty Grable" in black ink. Reverse of photo has original owner's note noting "Received 6/20/73" which was shortly before Grable's death from lung cancer on July 2, 1973. Last letter flourish on Grable's signature has smudge, but inscription and signature remain totally legible. Corners of photo have some staining as once mounted in scrapbook, staining more moderate at upper right. Fine/VF overall. Comes with Hake's COA and JSA LOA.
