Typed letter on 6x8" unlined sheet w/"Katharine Houghton Hepburn" letterhead. Letter is dated April 18, 1981 and Hepburn mentions her nephew is afflicted w/same disease as recipient, noting "Certainly A Real Nightmare. I Think They Are Getting Nearer And Nearer To A Solution - But One Can't Help Thinking - I Wish They'd Hurry Up." Hepburn has boldly signed in black felt tip pen at bottom. Letter has some handling wear but is VF/Exc. overall. Comes w/8.25x10.75" program for 1976 stage comedy "A Matter Of Gravity." Hepburn has boldly signed cast listing, inscribing program "For H.A. Shore." Program has scattered handling wear w/pinch creases to spine and edge wear. Fine overall w/Exc. signature within. Comes with Hake's COA and JSA LOA.
