Item Description
Miniature 3-D replica of a crocodile made of luminous plastic 4" long by 5/8" thick by .75" tall. The crocodile is very finely detailed with upper body covered in scales, lower body done in smaller pattern of scales and he stands on four tiny oval feet. He has large oval eyes and his jaw line is accented on each side with sharp teeth. This was a General Mills test premium from 1941 offered over only two Minnesota radio stations. General Mills recorded only 809 requests and today we know of only four examples. Top of the back has three small holes and when blowing air into the mouth a high pitched whistle is produced which can be varied some by placing fingers over one or more of the holes. While undamaged, a small bit of greyish dust soil accumulated over the years within the tiny recessed lines detailing the scales and other body parts. This actually serves to reveal the designs which were much less obvious on the one example we had which was 100% Mint and which realized $2875 in auction #203. Overall Exc. and glowing brightly.
