Item Description
Ring was originally brass with adjustable bands which show full figure batter on each side with crossed bats below. Ring top has high relief baseball design reading on the perimeter "Baseball Centennial" and with the dates on the raised image of a ball "1839-1939." Ring was issued in 1938 as a General Mills premium for The Jack Armstrong radio show. They recorded only 46,501 rings distributed. The following year, Quaker used the remaining supply as a premium. This is one of only eight examples seen in five decades with this example in gleaming 18K gold finish displaying lustrous Mint.
