Item Description
3.5". To our knowledge this button was previously unknown until this example was discovered at the grassroots level in the past few months. Unusual construction with a bar pin fixed in place with two metal tabs that are part of the thin metal back. Text on curl from 5 to 10 o'clock reads "Supplied By J. Hugh Campbell Co. Of Dallas" with a series of 16 diamonds followed by "Pat No. 2073422." Border features 20 stars and center has three additional stars around the date. There are six light brown dots of staining. The pair on the "E" of "Press" and "A" of "Pass" are from the bar pin construction on reverse. The other three are as follows: at the base of the second "N" in Nixon"; at the top of the "D" in "Dallas" and   at the cross of both "A" in "Dallas". The majority of each is contained to the darker red text and blending evenly. Typical surface wear seen in reflected light. Overall Fine. Despite flaws a very impressive button that had extremely limited distribution.
