Item Description
Unlisted in Hake and beautifully constructed this piece is 4-1/8" tall. The badge portion consists of an embossed brass frame with a wreath on the lower edges of the shield and a pair of eagle heads on the upper edges. Reverse is a brass cover with horizontal bar pin. Front center is inset real photo celluloid without dot pattern. Background includes a copyright symbol with name of photographer Harris & Ewing. Surrounding text is "Our New President Woodrow Wilson." The brass case suspends a pair of 2.75" ribbons with one reading "Peabody Heights Improvement Association" and the other, in Maryland state colors, reading "March 4, 1913 Baltimore, Md." An obvious limited issue and the first we've been able to offer in five decades. NM.
