Item Description
The first piece is 5" tall with an ornate brass hanger which has celluloid "Delegate" insert. Text reads below "Republican State Convention/Baltimore May 14, 1912." This piece is NM. The second ribbon badge is 6" tall. At the top is a brass hanger with bar pin on reverse and a cutout across the center of the bar to hold both ribbons in place. The top ½" of the white ribbon has many horizontal splits in the weave although if laying flat this can be folded under so that it does not show at all. The yellow and black Maryland state colors ribbon remains properly attached to the hanger. This front ribbon has two brass loops suspending real photo 1.25" celluloid portrait button of Roosevelt. The reverse is convex tin. Text on the lower white ribbon reads "Maryland/Roosevelt/Committee/May, 1912." The only other damage is a tiny bit of thread separation above the letter "D" of "Maryland." All is extremely clean. A very rare single state issue for a single convention day.
