Item Description
13-3/16x21-3/8". Top features a Cuban revolutionary waving the flag. Text at right reads "July 26" in English, French and Spanish. Artist name at bottom right but is illegible. The July 26th Movement originated from a failed attack in 1953 by a small group of revolutionaries led by Fidel Castro. The movement led by Castro was the beginning of the eventual overthrow that was completed by the end of 1958. This poster celebrates the tenth anniversary of Castro's successful July 26 movement. The Organization In Solidarity With The People Of Africa, Asia And Latin America (OSPAAAL) was founded during a conference in 1966 in Havana, Cuba attended by delegations from 82 countries. Bottom edge has two tiny .25" tears. Faint fold lines as issued. The rich range of colors remain strikingly fresh. Extremely Fine. Rare. Marshall Levin Collection. Comes with Hake's COA.
