Item Description
9" tall painted cast aluminum. This is first of three versions of Mickey Mouse cast metal banks made in France by Jules Manil in the mid-1930s and is unmarked. Wing nut on the back holds the two halves together and this is removed in order to retrieve the coins. Coin slot is on top back edge of his head. A variety of color schemes were produced, this one done in standard colors of the period. This is a factory-produced aluminum version w/original paint. Small .25" indent on Mickey's stomach and bank has some lt. paint wear, 90% remaining. VF/Exc. overall. Rare and only the second we've offered in our 49 years.
