Item Description
The DeWitt numbers are 16, 6 and 3. First is chocolate bronze .75" with jugate portraits surrounded by ribbons bearing their names above, laurel wreaths below, and a spread wing eagle at the bottom. Holed as made. Reverse has image and text "Democratic Candidates/White House 1888." Next in brass is 1" with jugate images. Top has a tiny circle where the piece was meant to be punched with a hole but this was never done. Reverse has full figure rooster holding ribbon reading "Still We Crow" and with outer text "Cleveland & Thurman 1888." Last is 1.5" tall in diamond shape featuring his portrait at center with name in tiny letters below all within a circle of stars plus ornate accents on each corner. Reverse has gorgeous spread wing eagle holding "E Pluribus Unum" ribbon in its beak and all surrounded by a design which matches that on the front. Great examples. Don & Mildred Wright Collection.
