Item Description
These are listed in DeWitt/Sullivan as 1892-2, 4, 12. Sizes are 1.75, 1.5 and 1.25. The large piece features jugate portraits above the White House with title "Democratic Convention Nominees 1892." Reverse has detailed scene titled "Landing Of Columbus In America October 12, 1492" and rim carries a patent date of December 1, 1891. Holed as made. Light general all over wear but no serious damage. Second has large portrait plus name in tiny letters and larger text slogan "A Public Office Is A Public Trust." Reverse has wreath enclosing "Democracy/The Party Of The People 1892." Surfaces are highly lustrous and proof-like. Only the tiniest traces of wear. Last has jugate busts with both their names on the front. Reverse reads "National Democratic Candidates For President And Vice Presidents Of The United States Of America 1892." Some very faint hairlines on Cleveland's cheek but not deep and barely showing. Don & Mildred Wright Collection.
