Item Description
11.75" tall overall and all original including metal eyes. Underside of left foot is stamped "Knickerbocker Toy Co. New York - Ignatz Mouse - © Intl. Features Service, Inc. - Trade Mark Des. Pat. Pend."  Issued prior to Knickerbocker's production of Mickey Mouse dolls in 1934. The design implies that Knickerbocker was hoping to sell to fans of both Ignatz and Mickey. Missing rubber tail. Ignatz's red felt gloves and shoes remain clean and bright, w/a few small insect holes to gloves and one 1/16" insect hole on one shoe. Face has even age toning. Fine/VF. Very rare character doll and only the second we've offered in our 49 years.
