Item Description
16x20.5" die-cut cardboard countertop store display for the "Para-Plane With Parachutists," a 1944 Grape-Nuts premium promotion. Display is designed to be folded and would hold cereal box at center. Premium features are listed on right portion w/instructions for ordering below. Display shows scattered aging/dust soiling at center and shows wear at top center edge. Fine overall. Rare. Originally obtained at the 1996 Christie's auction of Gold Archive items. Comes w/8x12" envelope that held "Bulldog Drummond Bomber" premium that was issued by Horton's Ice Cream c. 1941. Envelope is illustrated at left but has no imprint. Reverse has extensive assembly instruction w/illustrations. This area has number of inked production notations as this was a file copy. Envelope has scattered dust soiling and vertical fold at center. Fine.
