Item Description
1.75" long pin replicating TR's trade mark eyeglasses with a raised portrait of each man on each lens accompanied by their names above and with the date "1904" across the nose bridge. Previously, we knew of two varieties. One is marked on the back F.H. Novel & Co. Chicago and a second version in brass rather than silvered brass that names on the back "Lake Novelty Co." This is a third variety marked on the reverse "J.L. Bieder Co. Chicago/Design Patented." On the two earlier known varieties TR's shirt collar and coat are not shown but they are on this variety. Small loss of silver luster and the pin on the back, while original, has been professionally re-soldered. Julie Powell Collection.
