Item Description
Original cardboard box w/illustrated lid contains tin litho toy w/wind-up base that stands 8.5" tall when assembled. Made in Japan by S&E for AHI, 1950s. Box lid shows some edge wear w/.5" tear at upper right side panel, but is o/w tight and VF. Jointed tin litho Sam figure holds wire rod cane and stands on circular tin litho base w/dia. of 2-7/8". This is attached to silver luster metal base that serves as winding mechanism w/on/off switch. Toy works well when wound, Sam dances around as drumming noise is heard. Trace oxidation to one of Sam's feet and some aging to hat, o/w VF.
