Item Description
Each is 3.5". On the first nine, some show curl text reading "Asco. Winona Minnesota." We believe these are from 1968. The final three have curl text reading "©1969 MLBPC Winona, Minn." In photographic order, pictured are: Hart, a few very tiny light pinpoint dots. Hunt, NM displaying Mint. Marichal, NM displaying Mint. A duplicate of Marichal with very faded orange plus stain on right front and fairly heavy oxidation on the back. Mays, this is the button used in the book pictured as T-96. There are about ½ dozen small scratches on the orange rim and in reflected light a small scuffed area on his forehead and a 1" diagonal across his cheek but these are not particularly deep and really just show on an angle. Reverse pin is complete and functional although the right end which is normally a circle of wire has had the circle unbent. McCormick, NM displaying Mint. Another duplicate of McCormick also NM displaying Mint. McCovey, a couple black dots were dirt now removed. Some slight surface scratching in reflected light but still displays NM. Sadecki, extensive scratching shows in reflected light but scratches are not deep and piece still displays clean and glossy. Beginning with the "MLB" series is Bob Bonds. This is "T-100" in the book. Orange color is very faded with light surface wear in reflected light but still displays with gloss. Next is Lainier, dark stain on upper left rim and some slight fading of the rim at the right plus rather heavy oxidation over the reverse. Last is Marichal which is the book example shown as "T-101." NM displaying Mint. Paul Muchinsky Collection.
