Item Description
8.5x13x2" deep cardboard box w/illustrated lid contains 1950s Remco set. Box has scattered color rubs on lid w/a few small areas of surface paper lift, but box remains tight and free of splits. Fine. Box includes die-cut cardboard insert designed as the "Instruction Panel" and has viewing screen w/repeated image of Buck Rogers holding walkie talkie unit as seen on lid. Upper right of insert has secret decoder, but this is missing separate die-cut top disc wheel. Insert has inward warp, five .75" tears and 1" tear w/loose piece. Good/VG. Set consists of a pair of 2.5x4" hard plastic "Buck Rogers" walkie talkies, each w/raised design on front which includes lightning bolt and "Remco" name. Comes w/original long length of wire to attach to back of each unit. Units shows some lt. aging/wear to plastic but are o/w VF. Set comes w/4.25x5.25" Remco "Buck Rogers Certificate" which serves as guarantee paper. Unused, but certificate has archival tape repairs on reverse to 1" and 4.25" tears. Displays VG. Scarce.
